Endlessly experimenting, amending, and nearly destroying the six strings of his electric guitar in a profound lifetime engagement (and argument) with this battered device has resulted in Lee’s creation of a truly original, personalized musical language.
After disappearing from live performance for several years, Eric Lee re-emerged with a shape-shifting solo performance now applied to the acoustic guitar. Quieter forms of impressionism and tense silence have appeared alongside his long standing, aggressive fingerpicked playing style- as well as a new improvised personal interaction with the audience. Unpredictability is certain; his Big Ears set will likely surprise even him.
