Ryan Clackner’s Existential Dread

Existential Dread utilizes an otherworldly blend of drone metal, free jazz and the Western side of country music along with unusual instrumentation such as baritone guitar and bass clarinet to achieve this windswept sonic and spiritual goal. This performance will feature four of Ryan’s originals along with a strong dose of improvising by Matt Nelson on upright bass, Jorge Variego on bass clarinet, Kevin Scott (Gov’t Mule/ Warren Haynes Band) on electric bass, and Hunter Deacon on drums, all of whom are on Existential Dread’s upcoming sophomore album, due out later this year on Ryan’s label, Moonlight Cypress Archetypes.
