A Double Shot of The Bad Plus For The Holidays

For the past 21 years, The Bad Plus have played a four-night run over the holidays at The Dakota in Minneapolis; the pandemic makes that annual tradition impossible for the 2020 holiday season.

However, the band — Reid Anderson, Orrin Evans, Dave King — did record a pair of exceptional sets, featuring first-class visuals & sound, for a virtual performance at the Big Ears Festival in October 2020. The filming took place at the historic Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, TN. These sets were streamed — one at a time by Big Ears in early-October & early-December.
