BE 2026

Artist Addition: John Haywood

Kentucky-bred banjo player, tattoo artist, and master painter John Haywood will make his Big Ears debut this spring, adding a unique blend of Central Appalachia to the festival. Haywood has studied with banjo master and historian George Gibson, played solo, and joined groups of pickers. A curious musician, he’s spent the past two decades moving from project to project, ranging from garage metal to pop punk. You won’t want to miss this eclectic mountain music come March.
