Chris “Critter” Eldridge and Uncle Earl Reunite

Here’s an exciting glimpse at the road leading to Big Ears 2019—it’s Punch Brother and guitar star Chris “Critter” Eldridge rehearsing with the reunited classic version of Uncle Earl. They’re adding, they joke, a Seldom Scene ending to the song at hand, a reference to Eldridge’s dad and the essential bluegrass band he formed nearly 50 years ago, The Seldom Scene. Uncle Earl is definitely a successor of their modern sound with old roots. We can’t wait for all the surprises of this set.
