Ear to the Archives / Knoxville Awaits Ribot’s Return

Diving into the Big Ears Archives

We’re having a blast putting together the 2025 Big Ears lineup, which we’ll be sharing with you in just a few weeks!

We’re also having fun combing through the festival archives, remembering highlights of festivals past. Do you remember any of these moments? We’d love for you to share your memories with us.

Wilco: 2017

In an unforgettable two-hour show at the historic Tennessee Theatre, acclaimed American rock band Wilco beautifully demonstrated their extensive repertoire. The concert featured a mix of new tunes and beloved classics, showcasing their dynamic range.

Moses Sumney: 2022

Singer-songwriter Moses Sumney created a show that was as artful as it was mesmerizing as his otherworldly voice reverberated through the halls of the theatre. He danced, rotated, and crawled his way through a 75-minute set.

Adeem the Artist: 2023

Knoxville’s own, Adeem the Artist, joined us fresh from the launch of their much-applauded album White Trash Revelry. The performance was a mix of bare vulnerability, candidness, and a wild energy that electrified the crowd.

Don’t Miss Your Opportunity

We’re just five weeks out from Big Ears’ exclusive performance by Marc Ribot featuring Shahzad Ismaily. They’ll be playing tracks from Songs of Resistance (Anti Records), an album filled with eleven intense political songs, released back in September 2018.
