The Mockingbird by R.B. Morris & William Wright

RB Morris and William Wright are multi-hyphenate, veteran figures in East Tennessee’s artistic community. Morris is known for his poignant poetry and songwriting, while Wright has received acclaim for his contemporary musical works for screen and concert hall. Their work has been presented at Big Ears six collective times, and this performance is their debut as collaborators. Big Ears 2025 will be the World Premiere of The Mockingbird, a collaboration between poet RB Morris and composer William Wright, which will showcase a reading performance of Morris’s book of the same name, accompanied by an experimental chamber orchestra and choir treatment by Wright.
