Resavoir
“Resavoir is frothing at the seams with immense potential and a sterling level of musicianship.” – Everything Is Noise
Resavoir is a collaborative jazz project led by Chicago-born composer and producer Will Miller, best known for being a member of the indie rock act Whitney. For this project, he enlisted nearly a dozen of his musical friends to help bring his arrangements to life. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2019, received praise from publications like VICE, NPR, and Pitchfork who called it “a complex, soulful album that celebrates interconnectedness.” Their second release, another self-titled album (2023) sees Miller debut a revamped version of the live ensemble, featuring a new generation of Chicago musicians including Eddie Burns, William Corduroy and Kenneth Leftridge Jr. The new ‘Resavoir’ is a subtly radiant symphony interweaving modern-day soul-jazz with bedroom beats, synth serenades and twilight sonatas. It represents Miller’s most assured and refined work to date.
