Julian Lage Trio mesmerizing Knoxville this Sunday at The Mill & Mine

One of the most unique talents in contemporary jazz, guitarist Julian Lage juxtaposes tradition and progress on his latest trio effort, Modern Lore. The record is not a strictly guitar-centered record, however. Lage and his band focus more on interplay and building songs together instead of minutes-long solos.
