Listen: Rhiannon Gidden’s Podcast, Aria Code

Have you listened to Aria Code yet? It’s a new podcast produced by the Met Opera, WNYC, and WQXR and hosted by the ever-incredible Rhiannon Giddens, who studied as an opera singer at Oberlin before co-founding the Carolina Chocolate Drops. In the first two episodes, she’s explored Verdi’s La Traviata and Puccini’s La Boheme, using a panel of opera experts and singers to dig into the majesty and mechanics of a key aria from each. Give it a listen, and see Giddens at Big Ears 2019.
