Celebrating Marshall Allen
On May 25, the iconic alto saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader Marshall Allen celebrated his 100th spin around the sun, a momentous occasion for Philadelphia’s most revered interstellar jazzman.
In celebration of his birthday NTS Radio host Naima Nef chatted with Allen about his early life and memories as well as the music that shaped him.

Carl Craig Documentary Arrives
Told through Craig himself as well as the legions of artists that have played a part in his meteoric rise, Desire: The Carl Craig Story beautifully and boldly captures Carl’s extraordinary journey through music and beyond. Hatis Noit on Global Spin
Hatis Noit recently appeared on an episode of “Global Spin,” a Grammy original series that features artists from all over the world in celebration of the global music community.
