The New York Times’ 25 Best Classical Music Tracks of 2018

Bach, Beethoven, Glass, Liszt …Thorvaldsdottir? We’re chuffed to see Big Ears collaborator and favorite Anna Thorvaldsdottir on The New York Times’ list of its favorite classical music of 2018, alongside fellow young composers like Kris Davis and Ingrid Laubrock. Thorvaldsdottir lands on the index for AEQUA, a stunning collection of pieces that feel like vignettes of massive landscapes, as played by the International Contemporary Ensemble. They’ll play some of those works at Big Ears 2019.
