Third Man Records Re-Releases Lucy Negro Redux Book

In conjunction with the world premiere of Lucy Negro Redux by the Nashville Ballet in February (with the first out-of-Nashville performances happening a month later at Big Ears 2019), Third Man Books is re-releasing Caroline Randall Williams’ collection of poetry that inspired it all. Along with the poems, this striking new edition features excerpts of the libretto, a conversation between Williams and Nashville Ballet artistic director Paul Vasterling, and extensive photos of the collaboration that led to the production. You can watch a trailer for the book below, which even entices with a bit of Rhiannon Giddens’ score for the piece. Preorder here.
