SALONS, SOLO PIANO, AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT

Prolific, Visionary, and Expansive: Carlos Niño

After appearing at Big Ears last year with Andre 3000, the visionary percussionist and producer Carlos Niño will return with an amazing band this coming March, and then will host a couple of “salons” later in the weekend with a shapeshifting cast of special collaborators and guests. You’ll want to be there!

An Ambient and New-Age Pioneer: Laraaji

Laraaji’s captivating music and beautiful spirit have enriched our lives since we first heard Ambient 3: Day of Radiance, which Brian Eno recorded and released for the world to experience over 40 years ago. We’re delighted to have Laraaji return to Big Ears in March to perform music from his new three album project of solo piano improvisation entitled Sun Piano, Moon Piano, and Through Luminous Eyes, treat us to his wonderful laughter meditations, join Carlos Niño for a special show, and perhaps more.

Appalachian Allies Benefit Concert

Some of our favorite artists – including many Big Ears alums – will take to the stage of the BIjou Theatre this weekend to raise money to support Hurricane Helene relief efforts here in East Tennessee.  All proceeds go to the East Tennessee Foundation. Find tickets and more information here.
