Artist Addition: John Medeski
In addition to his performance with groundbreaking trio Medeski Martin & Wood, jazz-funk pioneer John Medeski will treat us to a performance of his intricate solo piano. Equally comfortable behind a Steinway grand piano, Hammond organ or any number of vintage keyboards, Medeski is a highly revered improviser and bandleader. His solo sets condense decades of listening, playing, and pondering into a truly magical hour, and it’s our pleasure to welcome him to Big Ears for two genre-bending performances.
