Artist Addition: Trio Five
Pioneering improvisor and saxophone icon Roscoe Mitchell will bring two of his famed groups to Big Ears: Roscoe Mitchell Trios and the newly-announced “Trio Five” featuring internationally acclaimed jazz trailblazers Junius Paul and Vincent Davis. Paul is a composer and bandleader who plays acoustic and electric bass, while Davis is a drummer, composer, and teacher. Since the seventies, artistic titan Roscoe Mitchell has remained open to new experiences and ideas, constantly searching for fresh perspectives he can bring to his work.
