Big Ears Kick Off Event

Help us kick off this year’s four-day weekend at the official Big Ears Kick Off Event at the Visit Knoxville Visitor’s Center on Thursday at 5pm.

You’ll be welcomed by Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Big Ears Artistic Director Ashley Capps, plus poetry from slam master Black Atticus and student performances by our Little Ears partners Joy of Music School and the Community School of the Arts.

Then, Anna & Elizabeth will perform their glorious Appalachian music — a preview of what’s to come at the free Appalachian Happening events throughout the weekend — followed by a performance from banjo extraordinaire Béla Fleck. Don’t miss this!
