Suss Presents Americana Apocalypse

Thu   Mar   26   2026 - 11:45 PM The Greyhound

SUSS premieres Americana Apocalypse, an improvisational, unpredictable, immersive performance featuring 360° projections by Brett Phares. From the bones of a deserted bus station, SUSS take the audience on a journey from the depths of the Sonoran Desert into the vast reaches of outer space. Multi-instrumental meets multi-screen in a mesmerizing audiovisual experience where ambient country collides with cinematic scale.

Set within the ghostly architecture of an abandoned transit hub, a striking metaphor for a decaying world, the performance explores themes of departure, separation, and distance through swelling soundscapes and quietly comforting instrumentals.

Part soundtrack to the apocalypse, part balm for the times, Americana Apocalypse is a bold new work created exclusively for Big Ears and presented here in its world premiere.
