Zorn III (2023)

Since 2010, Mathieu Amalric has been filming solo the New York musician John Zorn.

Saxophonist, composer, improviser, indefinable explorer, from jazz to string quartet, from noise to klezmer, from easy listening to church organ, cartoon, electric oud, opera soprano, or women’s choir, Zorn takes us on an endless musical journey… (a Zorn IV is on the way). Three films, intentionally seen through different lenses, with their constellations of musicians, friendships, work, and sonic energies.
