Just Added: ‘Híbridos, the Spirits of Brazil’
French filmmaker Vincent Moon has captured numerous artists in their most elemental form, from Grizzly Bear in the shower to Arcade Fire in an elevator. You may recognize his work as one of the principal directors of La Blogothèque’s phenomenal Take Away Shows. Moon has since traveled the world capturing music used in ritual, whether it be a Sufi gathering in Chechnya or an ayahuasca journey in Peru. We look forward to hosting Vincent Moon in Knoxville, not only screening his film Híbridos, a poetic and cinematic research into spirituality and its music in Brazil, but also joining him as he films Sacred Harp singers in nearby Wears Valley. Stay tuned for the location and time of this event as it gets closer to the festival!
