Jem Cohen: GRAVITY HILL SOUND+IMAGE
In addition to his collaboration with a special selection of adventurous musicians at the Bijou Theatre, independent filmmaker Jem Cohen will present an outdoor performance of his improvisational project, Gravity Hill Sound+Image, featuring large scale projections from multimedia tech team Dawn of Man made possible by Panasonic. Taking place in the paved lot between the Century Building and Mast General Store on South Gay Street, this innovative collaboration exploring film and live soundtracks is sure to draw in Big Ears fans and passersby alike. Mark your calendar for 10:30pm on Saturday, March 25, because — trust us — you won’t want to miss this extraordinary experience. Also during the festival weekend, several of Jem’s films will be screened at the Regal Riviera Theater, including his newest release, World Without End (No Reported Incidents), a 2017 Sundance selection.
