Kid Koala’s Satellite Turntable Orchestra

Montreal-based scratch DJ, music producer, and award-winning graphic novelist Eric San, better known as Kid Koala, will join us at the festival for the first time with six performances of his immersive Satellite Turntable Orchestra experience. Kid Koala provides 50 mini turntable stations with a crate of color-coded custom vinyl, an effects pedal, and a record player, and the audience is invited to contribute to the fluid stream of sound, with four people assigned to each turntable. Kid Koala will present a dreamy collection of atmospheric tracks composed especially for these special performances, each limited to 200 participants. Featuring beautiful vocals from Icelandic singer Emilíana Torrini paired with ambient guitar and keyboards, this emotional interactive concert will certainly be a highlight of the festival weekend.
