Speaking of seasonal albums, Shane Parish—guitarist of Big Ears alums Ahleuchatistas—has just released December, a collection of holiday tunes played with solo guitar. We’re smitten with it, particularly in the way that Parish uses alternate tunings and playful approaches to tempo until standards sit just at the edge of recognition.
