It’s Fat Tuesday! Celebrate New Orleans wherever you are with Aurora Nealand’s tribute to Sidney Bechet, the New Orleans native and pioneering jazz soloist. Nealand recorded it with her band The Royal Roses at national music landmark Preservation Hall. Nealand’s new project with Bill Frisell, Tim Berne, and David Torn, called Absînt, debuts at Big Ears 2019.
