Listen: Chris Corsano and Bill Orcutt’s debut studio LP, Brace Up!

Both the drummer Chris Corsano and the guitarist Bill Orcutt are Big Ears veterans. They’ve recorded a handful of live records together, but, this month, they’ve issued their debut studio LP, Brace Up!, as a duo. It’s one of the fiercest sessions you will hear all year, with a dozen cuts that sometimes tangle like Lightning Bolt, sometimes arc in ecstatic blues permutations, and sometimes rupture with splenetic fury.
