Steve Gunn Releases ‘New Moon’ and Album Release Date

We’ve had the pleasure of hosting Steve Gunn at Big Ears several times—first with his band in 2015, and both solo in a church and then with the Black Twig Pickers last year. Still, we’re stunned anew by the song he released yesterday, “New Moon,” the first single from his forthcoming album, The Unseen in Between. Swept by strings, laced by harmonica, and punctuated with a short, explosive electric guitar solo, it’s an instant favorite in his catalog.
