Vijay Iyer to Join Chris Thile on NPR Staple, Live From Here
This weekend, Vijay Iyer leads his trio to Minneapolis for a live recording of Chris Thile’s modern NPR staple, Live From Here, to join Broken Social Scene. In addition to the Grammy-winning Punch Brothers and multiple collaborations, Thile stays busy with this contemporary update of A Prairie Home Companion. Iyer and Thile both play Big Ears 2019 on Sunday, March 24—Thile with Punch Brothers, and Iyer in a duo with Craig Taborn.
