Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space, released by Spiritualized in 1997, is widely regarded as one of that decade’s masterpieces—a sharp, sophisticated, and unapologetic examination of love, heartbreak, addiction, and pity. Pitchfork has given it a 10.0, while Rolling Stone has called it the 13th-best stoner album of all time. (Huh!) Watch the band perform it in its entirety with a choir and orchestra at Radio City Music Hall. It’s completely beautiful, and “Electricity,” around the 40-minute mark, is perfect bedlam.
