Watch: Theo Bleckmann Performs “Take My Life”
Theo Bleckmann released Hello Earth!, his stunning collection of Kate Bush covers, in 2011. A year later, he debuted an original called “Take My Life,” an anthem that seems somehow sweeping but restrained in the way its melody curls inward and arcs outward. Really, it reminds us a little bit of Kate Bush, a vestige of digging so deeply into those songs. Watch Bleckmann perform an early version of that standout tune, accompanied by harpist Zeena Parkins.
