Wow: On November 30, ECM Records will release a 21-CD box set with a 300-page book that documents and analyzes every album within the Art Ensemble of Chicago orbit the label has ever released. From the Art Ensemble’s Nice Guys and Urban Bushmen to Wadada Leo Smith’s Divine Love and Jack DeJohnette’s Made in Chicago, it’s at once a starter kit and advanced preparation guide for Big Ears 2019.
