Xiu Xiu Plays The Music of Twin Peaks
Commissioned by Australia’s Gallery of Modern Art for its exhibition on David Lynch, Xiu Xiu’s 2016 release Plays The Music of Twin Peaks reinterprets music from Lynch’s cerebral show from the 1990s. The album was produced by former Xiu Xiu member Jherek Bischoff and mixed by Deerhoof drummer Greg Saunier. Led by the brilliant Jamie Stewart, Xiu Xiu is noisy and pummeling with elements of danceable pop. In addition to performing their Music of Twin Peaks project, Xiu Xiu will also perform their own set, featuring music from their forthcoming record FORGET out next month.
