Macie Stewart is a multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger, songwriter, and improviser based in Chicago, IL. primarily working with piano, violin, voice, guitar, and synthesizers. From a very young age Stewart was drawn towards music and sound; learning to communicate with music while simultaneously learning to communicate with words. Their experience as an open collaborator and composer in their own right has led their music to become fluid and expansive- drawing on all that has come before while intentionally searching for something new. In the fall of 2021 Orindal Records released Stewart’s first solo album, Mouth Full of Glass, eight lushly arranged songs that search for the meaning of self within and without partnership.
