Joyful Noise Recordings’ roots run deep through the indie music landscape. One of the very first labels to revive the oft-misunderstood physical format–the cassette tape–the Indianapolis based label has been releasing albums and oddities for the last 22 years with artists such as Deerhoof, Oneida, The Folk Implosion, Dinosaur Jr., Swamp Dogg, Kishi Bashi, Dale Crover, Lou Barlow, Tropical Fuck Storm, Bernie Sanders & Thurston Moore, Tortoise, of Montreal, Joan of Arc, Marnie Stern, Lil Bub, Finom, Protomartyr, Yonotan Gat, David Yow (The Jesus Lizard) and many more.
